So, you think
you might like to become a member of the Vancouver
Canucks Booster Club. Cool, we'd love to have you as a
member. Of course if you would rather know "What's
in it for me?", here's what members receive:
Our newsletter Two Points with
its articles on the Canucks and the booster club
as well as contests, hockey pool standings,
birthday lists, fan mail and coming events.
An
opportunity to attend exclusive booster club events which are only open to
members and their guests (we have plenty of
fun and you may even pick up a Canuck souvenir or
two).
An
exclusive membership card (hey, it has your
name on it and it's even laminated).
An official booster club
pin that looks a lot like the picture on the
right (except way cooler).
A
chance to get in on our regular season and
playoff hockey pools (the competition is
pretty fierce for the annual bragging rights that
come with winning this thing -- oh, yeah, there's
some cash prizes too).
Details
on the annual NHLBC Convention every August (if you
want to attend this party, you must be a member
of an associated fan club).
Volunteer
opportunities, including the ever popular game
night handouts (the cheapest way to see the
Canucks in person).
A
feeling of satisfaction knowing that for each
person who joins the Vancouver Canucks Booster
Club, one dollar is donated to minor hockey in
British Columbia. Where the money goes is based
on where our members are from. If you live in
British Columbia, you could be responsible for a
donation being sent to your area.
An
opportunity to vote for the annual Vancouver
Canuck Unsung Hero Award. Only adult members of the
Vancouver Canucks Booster Club get to vote on
this award.
These
are all great reasons to join the booster club, don't you
think? But perhaps the best reason to join the club is
this: we need you. It is only through
the support of fans that the Vancouver Canucks (and all
sports teams) exist. By joining the Vancouver Canucks
Booster Club, you will help ensure the continued success
of your favourite hockey club. |
